Curly purly soaker! w/pic ;)

curly purly soaker

I have decided to switch to cloth diapering and wool soaker, and i finially finished my very first saoker! The yarn isn’t the best choicem but it will do  I used about80% of a skein of Lambs Pride Worsted, in ‘aran’. size 5 and 8 needles (US sizing). I learned how to do a three needle BO just for this project! :yay: It turned out good, i forgot to pick up one of the wrapped stitches (from short rows - also a first) and didn’t realize i should have knit the waist band with the smaller needles, … but on the next one, i know what to do

I’ll be knitting a few more with peace fleece and 3 ply merino from 100purewool, as well as louet riverstone…I am very excited to be cloth diapering!
(I will add pic’s tomorrow, it’s soaking right now, i was too excited to get one before i washed it:doh:)

very nice indeed!!
I am just finishing the legs on an ‘Alice’ soaker. I might give the curly purly one a go next, I like the idea of the circular needles.

Great job on the soaker! Was the Curly Purly pattern easy to
follow? I’ve been thinking about giving it a try…

Libbie

Nice work Jeanie. But what is a Soaker???

:happydance: Great job!!!:happydance:

it was a very easy pattern! i did a lot of it in the car…

a soaker is used over a cloth diaper. it helps absorb and keep clothing dry longer. They are cute on little kids too

very nice, isn’t cding fun?! I cd my dd and will cd my new baby too. so cheap!

That looks good, and I’ll bet it gets some good use.

Looks like it will do the job. The soakers are always cute.
