I am making this curling rock hat. I am not good at the sewing part of knitting. Is there a better way to make this hat and knit the handle in such a way that I won’t have to sew it together? I was thinking maybe I could leave a few stitches out before I cinch it up and then add some so that it would be a tube. (In order to make it the right shape, I thought I would put in a pipecleaner and wrap it with batting) but anyway, before I get there, I just would like to make it with no seaming- is that possible? https://www.knittingparadise.com/threads/curling-rock-hat.149110/
Based on looking at the photo: I think you could move the stitches to a holder, use a provisional crochet cast and cast on the same number of stitches and knit them (sort of like a button hole) and finish the main part of the hat. You could then put the held stitches on needles and knit in the round to make the handle. HTH
