I have seen curling on finshed knitted pieces but I ended a sweater with the garter stitch and the whole section folds up- it doesn’t really curl. The side that curls is the front side (which has a slit on the side). Any ideas how to get it to go flat?

Thanks. I’ll try it. Since I’m a beginner knitter I think I will try a looser binding off on the back to see if that was what was wrong with the front!
