Soooo…what does this mean. Does cuff down mean you knit the cuff first? Toe up means you knit the toe first? I started a sock with Magic Loop, knitting the ribbed cuff first, now I am stitching the leg. Can I follow any pattner that knits socks in the round for the heel flap, and gusset, and foot part, just adapt it to the ML method, or do I need to find special instructions?
You’d be hard pressed to find a pattern actually written for magic loop. There are very few. It is just another method of circular knitting so any pattern written for in the round can be adapted to magic loop very easily.
As for cuff down/toe up…you got it right. There are some patterns that start knitting at the cuff and work their way down the leg, heel, etc., then there are patterns that start at the toe, work the foot first then the heel, leg, and cuff at the end.
