Hi I was.wondering if.its possible to add a cross stitch motif to a.knitted project? More specifically knit a cardi/jumper then do a normal cross stitch motif back it with interface then stitch on.to your.knitted item?
You could do that but stitching the cross stitch piece onto the knitting will limit the stretch and give of the sweater. If it’s a small enough piece, it won’t have much effect.
You can also do cross stitch directly on knitting using the knit stitches as a grid.
Most people use duplicate stitch but it depends on the pattern you want to include.
