Nice work! Never having used sugar and spun, how does it stand to being used for a bag which actually stands up? The pattern has form and defination and wil stand and not flop over.
None of these bags made with this cotton would stand up on their own. They are actually quite floppy, but very strong and sturdy for carrying things in. The cotton yarn is worsted weight and I use a size G hook so the stitches are snug. I suppose if you lined the bag with something stiff like denim that has interfacing ironed onto it, that would make the bag stiff so it would stand on its own.
Now there’s an idea!
