crocheting into next 5 ch sp work: (2 tr into ch sp, 7 tr into 3rd ch, and 2 tr)
I’m at a corner where the previous row was (3 tr 5 ch 3 tr.)
I’m at the first of the 3 tr (note: U.K. Abbreviation: tr= us doc)
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

It sounds like a granny-square-type corner (not actually a granny, but that idea.)
When you do the corner, you could just put all the trebles over the whole ch-5 loop, but it’ll stay in place better if you work two, work the seven into the center chain of that loop, then work the other two.
