Would someone explain how to do this first round please? See attached image.
Do I chain 3 first and do 9 dc into the first chain or do I make a magic ring, then chain 3 andvthen do 9 dc into the magic ring.
Just want to know the correct interpretation of this round.

You make a ring, ch3, then make 9 dc in the ring. If you prefer to use another method other than a magic ring to start you can. You need to end up with 10 st total including the ch3 at the beginning in the ring. Clear as mud? I may have misunderstood your question.
