Oh my, he’s beautiful!!! Congratulations, and enjoy your babymoon!
Hey you guys! Thanks for all of the well wishes and my dh says to tell all of you that he doesn’t deserve the credit b/c I asked him to do it!
Yes, I knitted the hat although it hardly fits! I need to knit a few more and make them a little larger! I had him wear the hat the when I first held him and then he wore it home since it was a little chilly!
I’m feeling allright–sore (which is to be expected) but happy. The c-section wasn’t bad–a little disappointing since I had labored all day but in the end I think it was the best decision. I showed up having contractions at 3 min. apart (and they felt just like what I was describing the other day) but they weren’t consistent enough so they went ahead w/ the pitocin. I managed to make it w/ no medication through the contractions until about 5:30 pm (we got started at 5 am). Two hours later I was gald I had gotten the epidural (even though it was just as horrible of an experience as the first one I had–but then I have a very VERY serious needle issue–I know lots of people think they aren’t a big deal) b/c they checked me and I still hadn’t even made it to 5 cm. They were concerned about how slow I was progressing but they were more concerned that he wasn’t dropping down and thought that maybe he was too large to come through the pelvis. Either way–we decided to go ahead w/ the c-section. DH was absolutely wonderful–I was okay w/ the c-section but he started to cry–he was so afraid something would happen to me! He’s a very emotional guy to begin with but it felt really nice to hear someone say that I was needed! I love my dh!
Anyway–by little guy is awesome. Bilirubin was a little high but not too bad. He isn’t really sleeping much at night but we’ve just gotten home and are starting to get into a routine. We are just sleeping when he does for now.
Thank you all for all of your sweet responses–I’ll make sure to post more pictures later!
We’re glad to hear you’re doing good and so is baby Aaron. Be sure to rest and not overdo it…c-sections are recovering from childbirth and a major surgery.

Congrats hun! Take it easy on yourself. I labored for 22 hours (pushed for 2) and then ended up with an emergency c-section since it was determinded I never dilated on the right side. I felt like I had had 2 babies. Get some rest and enjoy the little one!
hugs

Congratulations!!!
Welcome to the world little Aaron!
Congratulations Christy! :cheering:
Congratulations!!
What a beautiful baby boy.
Remember to take care of yourself and to not do too much too soon. You are doing right by sleeping when he sleeps.
Enjoy him, you will blink, and before you know it you’ll be handing him the car keys. :teehee: That’s what happened with ‘my’ Aaron (he’s 23 now).
What a great DH you have.
Thanks for the pictures, can’t wait to see more.

I was induced and ended up having a C-section, too. I found that walking as much as I could each day sped the healing up–hope you’re feeling well! That is one big, beautiful boy!
Soooooo sweet! Congratulations! And it was nice of your husband to post here…but are you sure he didn’t spell the name wrong? Isn’t it Aran? Just kidding. Hope you’re recovering well and that you get to sleep when he’s sleeping on ocassion! Have so much fun staring at him for hours!

My first was 9 1/2 lbs ( he is now 33, 6’4", 240 lbs and gonna be a daddy himself in 5 months)and I labored long so I know how you feel, but you rest yourself up and then come on back here and share some more proud mama and papa pictures so we can ooohhhh and ahhhhh a bit more!
