If I had nothing else distracting me, no responsibilities for that day, AND if it was a chunky yarn and big needles, then probably yes, theoretically, but I think I would get bored working on the same thing for as long as it would take to finish it.

I made a baby sweater in one day with worsted weight. Does that count? :wink:

I too made an entire baby sweater in one night. (Actually, I sewed it up the next morning). I had no choice; the baby shower was the next day!

my mother made a fisherman’s knit in less than a week with many distractions! she is a fast knitter! Of course she learned to knit in the 1930s…
me…MAYBE if I just sat there and knit a sleeveless sweater!

Possibly. If it was a raglan with big yarn & big needles. And if my kids were at my mom’s or better yet, if DH and the kids were all somewhere else…lol

No, I don’t think so. Not even with big yarn and big needles, as much as I’d like to think so. I am not a terribly fast knitter- I just spend a lot of time knitting!

Thanks for your answers everyone! I wasn’t trying to make anyone feel bad, I was just curious if you thought you could…I have no intention of trying! Maybe a baby sweater later on :lol:

Sure, if I didn’t have to go to work or class or anything.
I knit my first sweater over four days with size 10 1/2 needles, and I bet I could have done all but the seaming in one day. As it was, I did front, back, and half of a sleeve in one day…and then put it down for the next three. :rollseyes:
