Could someone please help with this 4 stitch cable pattern?

I do not understand what I am supposed to do with the fourth row, C4B. :::shrug::: Thanks in advance for your help.

Multiple of 4

Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: C4B
Row 4: Purl
Rep Rows 1-4

First of all, take a look at your pattern. Usually how to make a cable is listed in a definition of stitches somewhere in the pattern.

This is the definition of a C4B:

C4B - Cable 4 back: put next 2 stitches on cable needle at back of work, knit 2 From your left hand needle, knit the 2 from the cable needle.

Here’s Amy’s video on cabling. Scroll down to Decorative Stitches.

Slip 2 stitches onto a cable needle and hold in back.

Knit two from the left needle, then knit two from the cable needle.

Cable directions list all the stitches used–in this case, 4, and the back or front directions tell you where to put the stitches that are on the cable needle.

Thank you both. LOL…this was the extent of the directions. It was from a stitch glossary site for a 4 stitch cable pattern.
