Could it be any cuter?

So I’ve decided that this is about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen :teehee:, and I MUST learn to use DPNs and make it!

That is very cute!! I think there’s a similar one in Stitch 'n Bitch Nation that even has a face embroidered on.

Oh that is soooooooo soooooooo cute. I am looking for a hat pattern but its for a 18 month old I would have loved to have done this one.

Cute alert on this one

 Sharon

sooooo cute …i m going to make one for my god-daughter, Nicole …Thanks for the pattern :cheering:

Ackkkk! falls over dead from overload of cuteness
you must post when you get going on it! :muah:

I was looking at photos over at rabbit.org and when I saw the title of this post I thought to myself “i bet i could make it cuter, if i could somehow involve a bunny”. and whaddya know.

That hat is very cute. Learning how to knit on dpns is not hard at all. Nothing to it but to do it!

Sharon, you could just make this one a bit bigger and make it for an 18mo old…

According to the yarn standards a toddler’s head is 16" around.

You would just have to do all of the following:

  1. cast on an extra 8st
  2. knit it a little taller before decreasing
  3. do an extra decrease row BEFORE the rest of the decreases stated:
    [ul]0th dec row: k2tog, k6 8 times (56 sts)
K2 rows[/ul]And then i would still make the ears the same size and sew them on the same way.

Too cute :cheering:

There’s a similar one in Itty-Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson. That’s a totally cute book if anybody’s interested in baby hats. I got a copy free for being part of the Arkansas Children’s chemo cap even volunteer team, but I really enjoy it. I’ve been looking for kids just so I have an excuse to knit the hats.
