Converting pattern to the round

I am trying to knit a vest that is written to be knit flat in the round.

Part of the pattern reads:
Cable (over 18 stitches)
Row 1: P2,K6,P2,K6,P2
Row 2: Knit the knit and purl the purl

If I am knitting in the round, would I reverse the stitches in row 1, then having row 2 read k2,p6,k2,p6,k2?

If you were knitting flat you would reverse the stitches.

Knitting in the round, you’d do them the same since you’re always working on the same side.
