Converting a worsted pattern to fingering?

Any websites or suggestions for me???
Basically I could calculate the inches for the worsted pattern (using the guage they provided) and then take the inches and convert those to the guage that I am getting on the fingering, right? Did any of that make sense LOL

What is it you are making? Some things are easier than others with this approach. An afghan would be pretty easy, but a sweater (or anything else with any incs or decs for shaping) is a bit more complicated. You have to remember that row gauge will also be much different and that will effect any shaping. It may be able to be done successfully but it is kind of a matter of rewriting the pattern. I don’t know of a site that helps with this. Maybe someone will though.

Yes you could do that, or if you knit the fingering double stranded you’d just about get the same gauge as the worsted. Yes it would take twice as much yarn, but so would converting the gauge to fingering.
