I’m knitting a pair of baby socks for a relative who just had a baby and I’m using this pattern: http://www.interweave.com/knit/interweave_knits/web_projects/Better_Than_Bootie.pdf
except not really since I’m doing a heel flap heel. Anyway, I wanted to do a contrasting heel and toe on it. So I just turned the heel and now I want to pick up the gusset stitches with the light blue yarn but it is way over on the other side of the heel flap. How do I get the light blue yarn so I can pick up the stitches with it?
If you have another needle you can use – start where the light blue is and pick up along the side, then knit the live dark-blue stitches, then pick up along the other side. That should work (I haven’t done it, so I’m kind of guessing
)
