# "Continue in established pattern"

Need help with the bodice section of a Peplum Cardigan. I understand “Continue in established pattern”, but I don’t know what my established pattern is (rows?). Here is the pattern section.

Row 1 (RS): (K1, p1) into the first st, k to last 8 sts, (p1, k1) 4 times – 110 (118, 126, 134) sts.
Row 2 (WS): (P1, k1) 4 times, p to last 2 sts, k1, p1.
Row 3: K1, (p1, k1) into next st, k to last 8 sts, (p1, k1) 4 times – 111 (119, 127, 135) sts.
Row 4: (P1, k1) 4 times, p to last 3 sts, p1, k1, p1. With RS facing, place 4 markers on the needle, one after the
26th (28th, 30th, 32nd) st, one after the 30th (32nd, 34th, 36th) st, one after the 76th (82nd, 88th, 94th) st, and one
after the 80th (86th, 92nd, 98th) st.
Row 5: (K1, p1, k1) into first st, p1, (k1, p1) into next st, k2, yo, skp, *k to next marker, sl marker, yo, k to next
marker, yo, sl marker; rep from * once more, k to last 12 sts, k2tog, yo, k2, (p1, k1) 4 times – 118 (126, 134, 142)
sts.
Row 6: (P1, k1) 4 times, p to last 6 sts, (k1, p1) 3 times.
Row 7: K1, (p1, k1) twice, (p1, k1, p1) into next st, k to last 8 sts, (p1, k1) 4 times – 120 (128, 136, 144) sts.
Row 8: (P1, k1) 4 times, p to last 8 sts, (k1, p1) 4 times.
Inc Row /B: (K1, p1) 4 times, k2, yo, skp, *k to next marker, sl marker, yo, k to next marker, yo, sl marker;
rep from * once more, k to last 12 sts, k2tog, yo, k2, (p1, k1) 4 times – 124 (132, 140, 148) sts.
Continue in established pattern, rep Inc Row every 4th row 7 (7, 8, 8) more times, then work one WS row – 152
(160, 172, 180) sts.

I am doing the large size so I should end up with 172 stitches. I have 140 now and that would be increasing 4 (8 more times). Thank you in advance!

I think this means the established increase pattern, the st pattern is stockinette with ribbing or seed st on the ends of the row.

Thank you. That makes total sense now. I am just use to patterns stating what rows to go back to or repeat.
