Continental vs. English method

I’ve read the previous threads about continental vs. English method of knitting. It seems agreed that you should use whatever is most comfortable for you. I’ve learned English so I’m obviously more comfortable with that.

However, I was wondering if continental method is more “asthetically” pleasing for projects? Does it give you a better look to knitted items? If so, I’m willing to bite the bullet and learn continental.

Last bit - will knowing only English hinder me when I’m ready to knit projects that involve multiple colors?

I don’t think the end result is any different between Conti and English.

As for multiple colors, some people use two hands for color work. I’m so decidedly right handed and such a long-time English knitter that I do both yarns with my right hand. I felt I was doing it ‘wrong’ until the author of one of my Fair Isle books showed that that’s the way she does it, too.

So basically, whatever works. The end result is the same.
