Confusion with Raglan Shaping

I’m knitting a child’s jumper which is knitted from the top down. I have completed the neck band and the short rows and have now to start the raglan shaping. I am knitting on a circular needle and have four sets of markers, each set with one stitch between the markers. The next row states:

Increase Round: knit till you reach the marker, m1, move marker, m1, k to next marker, m1, knit 1, move marker, m1 Repeat a total of 4 times. Continue these raglan increases on every other round until you have 192 (202) 216 (226) 236 (248) 258 (272) sts.

I am totally confused with the move marker and how many stitches I am increasing on each round.

Any advice would be appreciated as I am stuck!

The round will typically increase by 8sts, 2sts at each marker. The directions are confusing as all the increases are usually done the same way. They should begin with “knit to one stitch before the marker, m1, k1, move marker, m1”. Also, there should be a k1 in the directions at the first marker. Work the repeat 3 times until you’ve increased either side of the 4 markers.

“Increase Round: knit till one stitch before the marker, m1, k1, move marker, m1, *k to next marker, m1, knit 1, move marker, m1 * Repeat a total of 3 times.”

This way you’ll have a knit stitch between the two m1 increases.
What is the name of the pattern?

It’s August Sweater By KnitsDuNord. I also purchased another sweater pattern at the same time also by KnitsDuNord and it has the same instructions.

It’s a very sweet little sweater. Just looking at the front, I don’t see anything unusual about the raglan line.
It’s physically difficult to work two m1 increases, one right after the other as the first part of the row you quoted indicates. Usually there are one or two sts between the m1 increases. The repeat has this single stitch between the m1’s which seems sensible to me.

The seller seems quite interactive so you might contact or comment on the Etsy page if you want to be sure.

Thanks for your help. I will maybe try contacting her to make sure I’m doing it right as I’ve had to unpick it about three times
