Confusion about Pullover

Hi!

I am knitting this sweater:

I am currently working the body of the sweater. The bottom is 2x2 ribbing but the pattern has you placing a marker between 2 knit st.

I believe that the author intended for the ribbing to go up either side and be carried up the arms, too to make the saddle shoulder.

BUT, of you start round 1 with k2 p2 4 times then do k64, p2 k2 and repeat, will that make the ribbing up the side off kilter? (ie not up the side: one would be more in front and one would be more in back) And, since the marker for the ribbing is between to k st, won’t that make the ribbing offset from the waistband ribbing? :??

I wish they had shown a pic of the sides and back, too.

No, it shouldn’t make your ribbing off kilter - that marker just tells you where the beginning of your row (and coincidentally, where one of your side-seams would be if you were seaming) is. At each “side seam” place, you’ll have 4 knits together as you move from P2 K2 to K2 P2. That marker is just in the middle of those.

You knit the sleeves first, then the body, then pull them all together on 1 big circular needle (sleeve, front, sleeve, back) and keep knitting, decreasing through the yoke as they describe in the yoke section.

Thanks! I knew I needed a second set of eyes on it! :muah:
