Confusing pattern directions

Could someone please interpret this for me?

“cont in lace patt,increasing 1 st at each end of next and 6 foll 4th rows, then on 3 foll 6th rows, taking inc sts into pattern”

I’m making a sweater and this is the shaping for the cap sleeves- thank you!

These instructions always sound like gobbledy-gook until you break them down.
So inc at each end of the next row, call that row 1. Then the following increases are on rows 5,9,13,17,21,25 and then rows 31,37,42.
