Confusing instructions

God bless whoever thought up the top down sweater pattern !! I had nearly given up trying to make a sweater as my seaming always left a lot to be desired.

I have a wonderful pattern I found…[/url

Front Shaping: AT THE SAME TIME, beginning on 5th row of Raglan Shaping, and continuing Raglan Shaping as established,
increase 1 st at beg and end of this row, then at the beg and end of every 4th row a total of 7 (7, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7)
more times, as follows: Kfb into the first and last stitch on the needles. Work 1WS row. Next row (RS): Cont shaping
Front. Using Backward loop method, CO 2 (2, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7) sts, work in pattern, cont with Raglan incs, to end, CO 2 (2, 5,
5, 5, 6, 7) sts. Work 1 WS Row. Next row, using Backward loop method, CO, 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) sts, cont with Raglan incs
to end, CO, 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) sts.
Continue Raglan Incs as set until a total of 20 (22, 24, 24, 26, 28, 28) raglan incs are complete. 33 (35, 38, 39, 42, 45,
47) sts in each Front. 46 (50, 54, 52, 56, 60, 60) sts in each sleeve. 66 (70, 76, 78, 84, 90. 94) sts in Back

I am having a hard time understanding the instructions and hope someone can help and word it a bit plainer for me. I’m having a problem figuring out which row to increase for front shaping, then when to CO the extra stitches needed. Any help will be greatly appreciated…this is such a lovely sweater

Thanks again for any help. BTW I just have to tell the world that I am truly blessed. I have just been discharged from the hospital after undergoing the successful removal of a tumor from my Thymus gland. So far no malignancy. God is good !!

Is your pattern the 3rd one in the 2nd row?

I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

Yes, it’s the pretty pink one.
Thanks for taking the time to help and for your good wishes.

Glad to hear your good news and all the very best.
As for the sweater, begin the increases as given for rows 1-4. When you get to the next row, row 5, inc one st at the beginning and end of the row. You’re going to repeat rows 3 and 4 however many times is indicated for your size and at the same time do the increases on the beginning and end of every 4th row for the number of times indicated for your size. When the increases are finished, work a WS row and then on the next RS row CO for the extra sts in the front
Very pretty pattern that looks like fun to make. Good luck with it!

GG, thanks for the llink.

Thank you so much for your help…this forum has never let me down.

I checked on this thread in case I could offer help, but I see that the problem is solved!
