Confusing cardigan pattern

I’m trying to knit the right front of a cardigan and I am very confused about the instructions, specifically those in the second Row 2 section. Which stitches am I putting on the stitch holder? Where am I binding off the 6 stitches?

RIGHT FRONT: With No. 8 Needles cast on 51 sts. Work as follows (right side):
Row 1—P 1, K 1, over the first 8 sts, P 2; K 1, P 1, over remaining 41 sts.
Row 2—P 1, K 1, over the first 41 sts, K 2; P 1, K 1, over remaining 8 sts. Repeat above 2 rows working a buttonhole 1¾ in. from lower edge as follows (right side): P 1, K 1, P 1, bind off next 2 sts, K 1, P 1, K 1, P 2; work across row. Work back, casting on 2 sts over the bound off sts. Repeat buttonholes every 2¾ in. to neck edge, working last buttonhole on 2nd row of neckband. When ribbing measures 2½ in. from lower edge, work as follows:
Row 1 (right side)—P 1, K 1, over the first 8 sts for buttonhole band, P 2, K across row.
Row 2—P 1, K 1, over the first 41 sts, K 2; P 1, K 1, over remaining 8 sts. Repeat above 2 rows until piece measures 15½ in. from lower edge. Keeping front edge even, bind off 6 sts at underarm edge once; decrease 1 st at underarm edge every other row 6 times. Work even until piece measures 5 in. from underarm. Keeping armhole edge even, work over first 8 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 6 sts, work across row. Decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 5 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 5 sts every other row 4 times.

Welcome to KH!
This is the right front of the cardigan as you would wear it. The bind off of 6 sts at the underarm is at the beginning of a wrong side row (a row 2). The 8 sts on a holder are at the neck edge which is the beginning of a right side row (a row 1). The next 6 sts, still at the neck edge are then bound off.
