I’m on the final edge of a shawl I am knitting. The directions say yo, k2 (yo, ssk,k1) 60 times. What am I knitting 60 times? There is no comma after the k2, which is what’s throwing me off.
Confused
Welcome to KH! What pattern are you making? That’s generally helpful to know.
yo, k2 (yo, ssk,k1) 60 times
As written here I’d say the (yo, ssk, k1) is what you repeat 60 times. I’m making a guess that this will put you at the middle of the shawl and then you start over with the first yo. How many stitches do you have on the needles at the beginning of the row?

Thank you for your reply. The pattern maker reached out and you are correct. They should have had a comma after the K2, and then the parenthetical directions 60 times.
