Hi guys I am a new knitter teaching myself :grimacing: I am wondering… My first 7 rows are rib…k2;P2 and p2k2…8th row says…rib 5 m1
Does this mean I do 2 purl 2 knit 1 purl make 1 purl ways thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!
You can do that. The k2p2 rib should continue across the row aligned with the previous rows. You’ll have p3 in the area of the m1 but that’s ok. It’s likely that your pattern stitch is about to change anyway, perhaps from ribbing to the main pattern stitch.
