Help with Berroco pattern
Hi all,
I’m attempting to make my first sweater. It’s the Berroco Wren. It’s supposed to be an easy pattern but I’m having the hardest time trying to figure out what it wants me to do.
http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/wren/wren.html
I’m working on the left front. The piece measures at 8.5" and now I’m supposed to start the increase. This is where I’m really confused!!!
The pattern states:
Inc 1 st at beg of next row, k to end -61 sts. Continue to inc 1 sts at side edge every .75" 4 times more. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 9.5" from beg, end on RS, then shape neck as follows:
Shape Neck: (WS) Bind off 3 sts, p to end. Continuing to work incs at side edge, bind off 2 sts at neck edge every WS row twice, dec 1st at end neck edge EVERY row 3 times, every RS row 17 times, then every othehr RS row 8 times. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 12.5" from beg (before all neck decs have been completed), shape armhole same as back while continuing to work neck decs.
HUH???
Am I doing a BO, dec, inc on the same row? Am I making this more complicated than it’s supposed to be?
I would appreciate any help…thank you…JOy
