Confused with American Girl Dress pattern

Hi –
I have been working on Hazel Spencer’s American Girl Doll Dress.

I am running into a problem once I get past this point: “Repeat increase pattern on right side until there are 10 yo eyelets. Bodice back should measure 3½ inches.” I’ve got that done.

The next instructions are to: "Put sleeve stitches on holders and knit in round on remaining stitches until bodice is 4½ inches long."
There are no markers used on this pattern and I’m unsure of how many of the 120 stitches currently on the needle go to sleeves and how many go to bodice and in what order.

Any ideas? :??

From looking at the pattern, could the sleeve stithes be the ones on each side of the widest section?

I envision you having stitches for half the back back, a sleeve, the front, a sleeve, and half the back, with the yo increases between them.

I’m assuming that the stitches on either side (in bold and underlined):
k##, yo, k1, yo, k##, yo, k1, yo, k##, yo, k1, yo, k##, yo, k1, yo, k##

are the sleeves, but am unsure how to handle the surrounding “yo, k1, yo,” sections – do I include the “yo, k1, yo,” sections on either side of the bolded area into the sleeves? some part of them? not at all?
This is sort of confusing!

I don’t think I’d include them in the sleeves since they appear to be a raglan shaping which would be more part of the body. Do you think it would make that much difference? It’s not like the doll’s going to complain.

No, don’t think the doll will complain!
But the concern is that the arms will be to tight or the bodice will be too tight to fit around the doll. I don’t have an Amer Girl doll to use as a model… I guess I’ll guess and see what happens!
