Confused by shoulder shaping instructions

I’m knitting the back of a sweater and my instructions say:
Shoulder Shaping
BO 10 sts at beg of next 6 rows.
BO rem 25 sts.

Does this mean that I BO 10 sts, work to the end of the row, then turn and BO 10 sts at the start of next row, work to end of row, turn, etc, for 6 rows?

If so, won’t the shoulders be crooked? On one side, the shaping will start on say, row 100, but won’t start until row 101 on the other side. Will that be ok?

Yes, that’s OK. You can’t bind off at the end of a row, so it’s always done at the beginning. The one row ‘off’ won’t matter a bit. All sweaters are like that.

Yeah, even if it’s a row `off’ that’s only about fifth or sixth of an inch and you can’t tell.

Thank you Ingrid and Suzeeq!! I’ll be shaping those shoulders today!
