I haven’t been knitting for very long and I am knitting a scarf at the moment which I have a slight problem with. Part of it is knit is garter stitch with two rows of one color and then two of another … with four colors so there are six rows between one color. I don’t want to have to cut the yarn each time I change color because I would have too many ends to sew in but I don’t know how else to do it. I have tried taking the yarn up the side but I end up with lengths of yarn that don’t fit in with the other colors.
Is taking the yarn up the side the only way? Or is there a different way??
Thank you,
