I’m working the circular shrug in the moment.
Now I feel, that my yarn is not enough.
Can I add another coloured yarn somwere?

I couldn’t see the shrug on the link. Sometimes these shrugs have a ribbed border added at the end. That would be a good place for a different color or dye lot.
Have you tried online to find more of the yarn that you’re using?

I think if this is it, that you could change colors or tints within the ribbing and it would be quite interesting.
Salmonmac, it looks like that was the pattern that the OP was referring to. To the OP (original poster), you could change colors as many times as you like, creating stripes or bands, and in a circular knit like this, it would create an interesting effect, or you keep it a solid color after the ribbing. Either way it should be a good looking shrug.
