Hi I’m looking for a very special Christmas stocking pattern from the early 50’s. My childhood Christmas stocking is a great pattern that my mother made for all the kids in the family. Sadly the pattern was lost and I have not been able to recreate or find a replacement pattern. The stocking body is green with a cream heel and toe and the face of Santa on the side with the owners name knit into the top of the stocking as a cream band. Santa’s face is spectacular - with flesh color cheeks, black eyes, red lips and white angora for the beard, eyebrows and pompom on Santa’s red hat. Now that I am a grandmother I would like to make the same keepsake stocking for my grandchildren. If anyone has such a pattern or knows where i can locate one I would appreciate the help.
