Choosing a yarn to sub for Harrisville Yarns Orchid

Hi there. Iā€™m looking for a yarn to sub for Harrisville Yarns Orchid Line which is 245 yards/100grams. Its a single ply and things I have been looking at which have about the same yardage to weight are mutiple plys. I need something that is a bit easier to get hold of :slight_smile:
Suggestions?

I think when changing yarns you need to be more concerned with fiber content (wool, cotton, silk, etc) and guage (stitches per inch) and lastly needle size to get that guage.
