I’m currently knitting the Chlorofyll mittens http://tarjanne.googlepages.com/stitsailujapatterns. First time I have attempted anything glove/mitten related and I’m really enjoying it! I completed the right hand with relatively no problems, but I have a question on the left hand. Here are the instructions for setting up/ working the right hand:
Right hand
The first two needles are the palm side, the last two are the back of the hand. The palm side (21 sts) is
knitted in every round and the back of the hand (23 sts) is worked according to the chart.
Set up round: K21, P1, K8, P5, K8, P1
Work two repeats of the chart.
Next round on the palm side: K2, using waste yarn, K6, slip these sts back to left needle and knit them again
using working yarn, continue normally until you have worked total 5 repeats of the chart.
Rearrange the sts again for the rib: 12 sts on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd needle and 8 sts on the 4th needle.
Work [K2, P2] rib for 4 rounds. BO all sts.
The instructions for the left hand just say make left hand reversed. I understand about reversing the pattern, but my question is do I reverse the setup row also? And I assume I would also need to reverse where I put the 6 sts on the waste yarn for the thumb…
Advise anyone?
