The wrong side rows have you work the stitches as they appear. Knit any knits and purl any purls as they face you. When you encounter a yo from the previous row, purl it.
If you’re not sure what stitch is which, you can read the row that you just worked backwards, reversing the stitches. (knit the purl stitches of the chart and purl the knits; still purling the yo’s)
I am not sure if I am working right on “make 1 purlwise tbl”.
This is how I did it.
With left needle tip, lift strand between last knitted stitch and first stitch on left needle, from back to front and follow to knit through back loop.
Size
From 43rd row scarf is about 9cm wide, length about 84cm.
Basic pattern
See chart.
Only RS rows are given, on WS rows work sts as they appear, purl yarn-overs.
Work rows 1-42 once, rows 43-66 four times, then rows 139-173.
Method
Cast on 15 sts and work in basic patt foll chart.
When work measures about 80cm, after the 173 rows, pull rem 3 sts tog firmly with the working yarn.
After knitting a while and I am confused between the “size” and “method” instruction, and also the length 84cm and 80cm.
Here is what I am working at:
Row 1-42 : Follow the pattern and work ONCE
Row 43-66 : Work 4 times, 4 times till 84 cm.
Row 139-174 : Once
Size is just telling you what the measurements should be after you complete the 43rd row. Method is telling you how to get there. Yes, Rows 43-66 you work them 4 times, and I think it should be about 84 cm long at that point, then do rows 139-174
