Chart question - right side/wrong side

I thought I knew how to read charts, but I’ve gone and confused myself.

In a pattern that starts on the WRONG side, should I read the chart from right to left because it is row 1, or left to right because it is a wrong side?

The pattern is Vivian from Twist Collective.

I’m stuck at row two because of this dilemma.

If the first row is the wrong side, read the chart from left to right.

Since you knit on the right side from right to left, the right side of the chart is read right to left.
