Hi - I’m working on the cat afghan from Knit Simple winter 06/07. It has several different charts. The one I would like to start next is a 20 stitch repeat. The directions say "Cast on 49 stitches. Work chart #5 as foll: Work 20 stitch repeat twice, then work first 9 stitches once more."
I’m clear with what I’m supposed to do with what the chart shows, just the twenty stitch repeat. But when they say then work the first 9 stitches once more, what am I supposed to do with them? Just knit them on each row? Or follow the first nine stitches of the 20 stitch repeat? Thank you for your help!! 
You work the 20 stitch repeat twice, and then work the last 9 stitches exactly as you did the first 9 stitches. This may change from row to row, as you work through the chart.
