Hi again. I’m sorry I keep asking so many questions about this one particular pattern but I just seem lost with every step of it. I went to the yarn store near me today and showed it to the owner and she said she didn’t have time at the moment to help me with it …the one thing that helped is that her comment was that yes the pattern isn’t very self explanatory to everyone and that it isn’t written as clearly as she would have written it, however, that doesn’t help me much on getting it made. Ha
The pattern is by drops and the project name is blue breeze. I’m including a pic of the pattern chart. I’m wondering if anyone can give me more of a written step by step of it. I’ll try to explain where I’m getting lost. It starts on the RS, calls for a K stitch then a yarn over between 2 stitches, then a slip 1 as if to K, K1, psso THEN immediately back to yarn over between 2 stitches and back to slip 1 as if to K etc. my main confusion is 1. I do a K st then a yo but how do I do the slip one as if to K AND do the 2nd part of the yo that says between 2 stitches? Does my question even make sense? 2. Is my 2nd stitch for the yo the stitch that I slip as if to knit, or do I do another K st THEN do the slip as if to knit? I’ve tried it and came up off on my count. I’ve frogged it again and wanted to ask for help before I try again. Thank you to everyone, you have all been so supportive with me on this. Hope all are having a great day! Thanks again, Felecia
I assume you are discussing row 1 of chart A.1?
It appears to be:
K1, (YO, SL1, K1, PSSO) - repeat within ()s to end
You don’t work another Knit stitch before doing the next YO.
Hi and yes I was referring to row 1. I guess that would have been good to include
thank you for responding. For the life of me I can’t understand why I’m having so much trouble with this pattern. So the slip 1 is the second part of the yo ( between 2stitches?) that answers my question. I’m just not experienced enough yet so I thought I had to have another knit or purl in there before moving on to the slip one. Thanks again!
I just had to come back and thank you one more time. It all came clear as I read your post again. Thank you thank you…off to knit…
