i am knitting an afghan with a border in one yarn and the body in the other. after purling 16 rows in the border color, you purl 10, change yarn and knit across to the last 10 and purl those in the border color. i keep getting a “hole” (looks like a dropped stitch) where i switch color and yarn. any idea what i am doing wrong or is that the way it is supposed to be?

When you switch yarn, wind the colors loosely around each other. Look on the Tips page under Intarsia for how that’s done.
