When you change from knit to purl stitches in a row, how do you take your yarn from the front of your work to the back? Is it just like a yarn over? And the opposite way too, from purl to knit… how do you get your yarn to the right position? Thanks!!
When you change from knit to purl or purl to knit, you move the yarn [I]between[/I] the needles. It’s not like a yarn over where the yarn moves over the needle, although that can accidentally happen if you forget to move the yarn between the two needles.
It is not like a YO. A YO involves wrapping the yarn around your needle before ending with the yarn in front/back depending on whether the next st is a purl/knit.
When change from knit to purl, or purl to knit, simply move/place/bring the yarn BETWEEN the two needles from the back to the front, or the front to the back. Do not wrap, do not pass go, do not collect $200. It’s just that easy!

GG, they are beautiful, made from 24 gauge wire and 11/0 seed beads, very tedious and time consuming, but they last forever. Pictures of my finished flowers are on my page on Facebook, you should be able to see the pics.
