Changing pattern with rolled waist and sleeves to k2 p2/ changing the stitch count

I’m using Yankee Knitter Designs Roll Raglan pattern but want to change wrists and bottom/waist (?) of sweater to k2 p2 rib. The sweater is cast on at 115 stitches for men’s size 46. Can I just add another stitch (116) so I can do a k2 p2 rib? I’d also need to use one less stitch (56 instead of 57) for the wrist. I don’t see how this can make a big problem but (as I’m sure you’ve guessed) I’m not a very accomplished knitter. Thanks.

It seems to be a paid pattern, so it is not possible to see what the instructions looks like. Still without reading them I think what you are planning to do should be OK, especially if you adjust the stitch number to 115 resp. 57 right after doing the ribbing. (Like that it would be easier to follow any instructions where you have to count). Nobody will notice if the ribbing got one stitch more or less than the rest of the body.

Thanks so much!! It didn’t even occur to me to decrease/increase once the ribbing was done. Duh!
