Central Florida Fair Projects update :I WON 3 Ribbons!

Central Florida Fair Entries
With encouragement from my “Knit of Knot” guild, I entered these things in the Central Florida Fair in Orlando. The shawl is “Gulls Over the Bay” from “Ocean Breezes” by Sheryl This. (wave edge stitch pattern and gull wings pattern) The felted bag with the flower is the bubble bag (I think that is what it is called) with a few changes from “Personalities” by ??? and the beaded bag is a pattern from a class I took with Judy Pascale. The shells on the bag are from a “Girls at the Beach” outing with my Granddaughters.

Oh my, they’re all beautiful! I especially love the shawl – it is truly lovely. What yarn did you use?

Great projects!!! I also love your photographic artistry!

Beautiful job!!! Love both projects!!

The shawl is made from Cotton Woven Ribbon from Blue Heron Yarns (100% cotton). The felted purse is also a Blue Heron yarn. They (Blue Heron) were in the central Florida area about a year ago doing “shows” at yarn stores and at the end of their tour they came to our guild meeting with mountains of wonderful yarn and sold it to us at 1/2 or more price. It just so happened they had the exact yarn called for in the book for the shawl.
Thanks everyone for your encouragement.

ITs superbbbbbbbbbb n beautiful color …thnsk for sharing it

Great photos ! Your work is adorable:)

Everyone of your FO’s are just BEAUTIFUL!! I hope you got blue ribbons!! Great job of photography as well:cheering::cheering:

The lace shawl is stunning. I love the color and the clasp you added it beautiful. The bags are really neat, I especially like the one with all the shells on it. It is so unique. Beautiful bougainvillea as well.

Thanks everyone. The bougainvillea IS georgious, it takes my breath away every time I see it … especially when I hear about others who are still shoveling snow. We live in a townhouse and the complex “people” take care of it, so I can’t take a bit of credit for the blooms
The judging for the fair is this week and I should know results Sunday … our group does a knitting/spinning demo at the fair that day.
Then … Wednesday I am off to Atlanta, Georgia to Stitches South … I am sooo excited about the trip and classes and fiber market …

The shawl in knitted shawls and ponchos catagory won third place and in beaded knitting the little beaded purse with shells won third place, too! A friend picked them up for me so I will post pictures with ribbons when I get them… AND … I get $50.00… I had no idea $$ came with ribbons!
