Casting on to attach to knitted item

Hey guys, really hoping someone can help me with this!

I need to cast on to sew ears on a bunny toy - the ‘pattern’ - fairly vague - says to cast on to the original cast on point rather than knit them seperately and attach them. Problem is, I don’t know how to cast on so that it’s attached. There’s not even a raw edge to work with because it’s knitted on the round.

So yes, any information would be gratefully recieved!

You would use the knit or cable CO with the working yarn. Or if it’s just a few sts, a backward loop will work find. Look on the Cast ons page if you don’t know these.
