The pattern I have tells me to make one row of K1,P1 I understand that. Then it says for row 2 cast on 3 stitches and then k1, p1. I don’t think I know how to cast on once I have already knitted a row. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Carolyn

Hi. The back words loop cast is really good for casting on during a row. You can find a video of it here http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/cast-on
scroll down it is the second videdo
Thanks so much Holly. That makes good sense. I knew it would be something simple.

If the backwards loop gives you extra yarn `looped’ between those 3 sts and the ones you’ve already knit, try a knitted or cable CO.
