Casting off for raglan sleeve

Hello
I have to cast off for raglan sleeves and dont understand the pattern instructions. it reads as follows:
Keeping patt correct cast off (2) sts at beg of next row
Work 1 row
1st row K1, sl 1, k1, psso, patt to end.

How does this cast off (2) stitches?
Thanks

These sound like 3 separate rows
Row A: cast off (2) sts at beg of next row
Row B: Work 1 row
1st Row: K1, sl 1, k1, psso, patt to end

Row A may be a cast off for the underarms and the 1st row maybe the repeat for the raglan shaping.
Which pattern is it? Can you give us a pattern name or link?

That sounds right. The pattern is a Paton pattern for baby’s jumper.
Cabled 8 ply Raglan cardigan…book1315.
