Hi, folks, new knitter here Just a question about casting on - I use the longtail cast-on method mostly … when you cast on the first one, there are two loops on the needle … so, when a pattern tells you to cast on a certain number of stitches, does that first one you do count as two, or do you treat those two as one stitch (knit them together) when you come to it on the first row of knitting? Thanks (and sorry if this is an odd question…or if it’s been addressed already)
Cast-on question
Not odd at all, you have to make sure, those two beginning stitches are counted separately, as in 2 separate stitches. Enjoy!
Thanks a lot for clearing that up!
Helps me out too, thanks!
That’s the great thing about this forum. If YOU want to know something, chances are someone else also needs that information. Thanks for asking, because I need all the help I can get!
