Hi there, I am knitting a piece using the double stockinette stitch so that it is the same on both sides. However, I am bothered by the fact that one side has the purl bump so it appears shorter and different to the other side. I was wondering if there is a cast on that will erase that bump — would the italian cast on work?
Double knitting to create Vs on both sides and a pocket in the middle?
What cast on are you using?
The Italian cast on typically gives you alternating knits and purls.
Would a Turkish cast on work for your project? It won’t have any purl bumps although it may not have the crisp edge that you would like.
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
This one cast on looks like the one you are looking for double stockinette. If I understand correctly. Good luck
