I woke up this morning to find my cat, Cassie nestled in and around the Polar Bears I keep on my bed. She snuggles in among them to sleep when it’s chilly.
I woke up to snow yesterday, and it’s 90% gone today.
She will lay there when I’m knitting and watch me from there. She has finally learned that if I’m knitting, it’s safer there, especially when I’m trying a new pattern. lol
She also has been known to put me to sleep by purring by my head if I’m having trouble falling asleep. She is priceless. I saved her from a rescue center, she had about 3hrs left.
She has been a part of my life for 3.5 yrs. I can’t imagine not having her. She can be agrivating, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I rescued her… yes… but she has given more than you can imagine. She loves petting, attention, and has NEVER had an accident. She is sweet, and I am so grateful to her. Her babysitter when I’m out of town spoils her more than me. She is a treasure.
i am late to this post

oh shes the image of my first cat holly. i will dig out a piccy so you can see shes so alike her.
i so agree rescue’s do make th ebest pets, all my cats are rescues and i wouldnt have any other kind of cat.
I rescued my kitty Charlotte. She was the so called “runt of the litter”. My boss at the time, told me she was going to go to “kitty heaven” if I didn’t take her home.
We had no pets, so I brought her home to my two kids, in my purse. She was pure white with a black spot on her head which disappeared after a couple of years.
One time I was so horribly depressed, I was laying on my back, in bed, and she planted her purring self down on my chest and would not move. I will never forget that time.
She was with us for 20 years and 7 months, she did go to kitty heaven, but after she had a good life. She died 14 months ago, but I swear she is still sitting on the stairs above my knitting chair watching me. We really miss her!

oh jen thats just had me crying. my cocker spaniel that i had as a child who died very young of a very rare type of cancer i’m the same with. i swear i hear her bark and see her on my bed (even though i live in a different house, even a different country!!).
she wasnt a rescue but had some problems. i havent losta cat yet, i’m dreading the day more so than any other animal tbh. all lmy cats do like your charlotte did they curl up and know just what to do when you get upset.
i brought in 6 feral kittens that my neighbour (who owned them) told me her husband was going to drown, and thati wasnt to bring them in as they were hers to do with what she wanted!! like hell, they have been with me ever since i borrowed her trap (so say to trap a coypu hehe). they are a little strange but georgous. how anyone could do that to any creature i will never know how people can do it to a living creature.
What a sweet pic! I’m obsessed with taking pics of my cats now that I have the digital. I take pics like that and email them to my DH when he’s at work. What a lovely lookign little girl:muah:

well we got a 4 month old abused kitty
and guess what
she adores my husband me she wont look at
it has become the family joke
i believe that it was a female that hurt her
and she has never forgotten
