Carrying Yarn up the side

The sweater I am knitting is in stripes, short enough that I don’t want to cut the yarn each time. So I am carrying the old color, twisting it around the new color, and then knitting with the new color. And then just keep repeating this every time I switch colors.

So no problems actually doing it, but I am finding that a bit of the old color is peaking out a bit on the edge. Is this normal?

Yes. I don’t know of any way to hide it, but I feel it’s preferable to weaving in all the ends. Seaming will hide it later, anyway.

I didn’t think of that, but you’re right! this will be hidden when I pick up and knit on this edge later, and seam the sleeves. Thanks! :muah:
