Hello knitters!
I’m here with another question about this pattern. I finished the back, and now I’m working on the fronts! I’m hoping to make this my Easter sweater.
Since this is a purchased pattern, I’ve just attached a picture of the spot in the pattern that I’m confused on. I’ve gotten up to the red-box section.

Also, here’s a picture of my progress so far:

So my question: what is meant by the “rib pull-in”? Would this be the ribbing for the pocket, or the ribbing on the bottom of the sweater? I’m just not sure how to measure this - from the bottom ribbing, or the pocket ribbing.
Thanks for any help!
First off, looks like you have a great start on that side. Now as I’m reading the instructions, the rib pull-in measurement is from the second set of rib just right below your lace panel, or I guess it’s the pocket. The second measurement mentioned is the total length from the beginning, or where you cast on.
The ribbing on the pocket is going to shorten or “pull in” the width of the front by about a half inch. The numbers that are given are the width, slightly stretched, of the front after the purl increases have been completed. The bust measurement for the smallest size is 34.5" or ~17" across the fronts which is 8.5" across one front (8" accounting for the pull in), for example.
So do the increases and when you have the correct number of sts for your size, measure to make sure you’ve got the given width. If there’s a schematic with the pattern the measurements given there may help, too.
You’ve worked this beautifully. It’s going to be lovely.
Thank you so much for your responses! So the measurement “8 1/2 inches minus 1/2 inch for rib pull-in 8 inches” is a width measurement, not length? That’s why I was confused… Thanks again!!
