I am annoyed because I still have some holes, but I think that when I am finished, I am going to neatly sew some extra pieces and sew up the holes. Other than that, I am on row 10 and the cape is sailing along nicely. Though honestly, I probably won’t have it done by Christmas- but that is okay!
Cape - Again!
An IOU works for Christmas too and it extends the anticipation.
Your plan for sewing up the holes will work but I wonder where the holes are and what you think might be causing them? Do you want to post a photo?
I don’t know where I went wrong, but I frogged again! I did it this time because there are too many instructions! I wasn’t enjoying it because I had to count every row! It was just for me, and I am hoping that next Christmas I will be half the size I am now! So maybe it wouldn’t fit by the time I got to wear it anyway!
Well, important to make things for yourself too. I understand about frustrating patterns however and the time that comes to pull the plug. It’s no fun working a pattern that is a slog and definitely not enjoyable. Hope the next project you choose is the perfect knit.
As a person who has lost a significant amount of weight over the last 10 years I can tell you that it definitely still hurts that those self-made items cannot be worn any more. Some could be altered some couldn’t. I have a few favorite RTW items, but mostly Im happy to pass them along to others. But the ones I made - not so happy about those.
