Can't understand pattern directions

I’m kinda a new to knitting but very excited. Reading a pattern that says: K7 rows
K3,m1,k to last 3sts,m1,k3
Work 7 rows
Does this mean I knit and increase every other row? Or do I knit 7 rows then increase. I’m very confused :aww:

K7 rows
K3,m1,k to last 3sts,m1,k3
Work 7 rows

It sounds like a knit 7 rows, do an increase row, then knit 7 rows again but maybe not. Does the pattern give you a stitch count anywhere? What is it you are making and where or in what part of the pattern does this direction occur? alternatively, is there a link to this pattern?

It starts w/a cast on 29(32,35,38,41,44)sts It is a garter stitch cardigan for a baby. And this is for the sleeve.

It also says to rep the last 8 rows until there are 35(40,45,50,55,60)sts. Cont straight until sleeve measures 7(9,12,13,14,16,)cm

OK, so I think it’s correct as:
K7 rows
K3,m1,k to last 3sts,m1,k3
Work 7 rows
Repeat the last two lines (8rows). Each increase row increases 2sts so if you increase from 29sts to 35sts (the smallest size), that’s doing the last two lines 3 times total.

Thanks so,so much. HUGE help!

Are you having a problem on the sleeve or somewhere else in the pattern?
